Review of Mad Anthony CycloCross Race 2011

This years third annual Mad Anthony Cyclo Cross Classic was a huge success. Racers and spectators from all over the region enjoyed a beautiful Fall day on historic Detroit property.

Historic Fort Wayne in Detroit is one of the most unique exhibits in Detroit history. Add the excitement of Cyclo Cross racing to the 1800's US Army fort and you have an event like no other.

The course was very craftily integrated with the obstacles and berm climbs that are typical in Cross. Inside the Star Fort the race loops into the Sally Port(tunnel) then shoots out into the barracks area where the spectators have the best view. This is where the arena of excitement is. Without an obstructed view anywhere the spectators watch as the racers zig then zag then climb then hurdle through....

The MMBA Expo in Lansing was a huge success! We were able to encourage a ton of friends to come up to Lansing for information, camaraderie and great auction and swap meet items abound.BTT sold shirts, stickers and the MattD DVD.
